Pluto's - Palo Alto, CA

This place is almost always full of lively conversations and noise. The ordering process is initially confusing but the price is right in a town where decent fresh food on a daily budget is difficult to find. It is one of the few places where you can get a great salad with meat on top.

Go there for the Salad and Spuds or even Sandwiches. It's great!
